This Privacy Policy explains how AstroVlogs (“we”, “us”, or “our") collects, uses, stores, and deletes information obtained through our Facebook, Instagram, and Meta integrations when you connect your Meta accounts to AstroVlogs. This page is provided to meet Meta’s Platform Terms and data-use requirements for apps that access Facebook and Instagram data.

2. Information We Collect From Meta

When you authorize AstroVlogs through Facebook Login for Business, we receive and store only the data needed to publish and manage content on your connected Facebook Page and Instagram Business account. This includes:

  • Account identifiers: Facebook User ID, Facebook Page ID, and Instagram Business Account ID (IG User ID).
  • Page information: Page name, category, and publicly available profile details of the connected Facebook Page.
  • Instagram Business account information: username and account ID of the connected Instagram Business account.
  • Access tokens: short-lived and long-lived access tokens issued by Meta, which we use to act on your behalf for publishing and diagnostics.
  • Post-management data: post captions, media files or URLs, scheduled publish times, post IDs, publication status, error responses, and engagement metrics (where available) returned by Meta APIs.

We do not collect your Facebook or Instagram friends lists, private messages, personal profile content, or advertising data.

3. How We Use This Information

We process the data listed above solely for the following purposes:

  • Authenticating and maintaining the connection between AstroVlogs and your Meta accounts.
  • Publishing posts, stories, and reels to your connected Facebook Page and Instagram Business account as scheduled or triggered by you.
  • Retrieving basic page and account identifiers required for publishing (for example, the Instagram Business Account ID linked to your page).
  • Logging publication status, errors, and timestamps so we can diagnose delivery issues and retry failed posts.
  • Generating internal usage reports (number of successful/failed posts) for the AstroVlogs admin dashboard.

We do not use Meta data for advertising targeting, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the AstroVlogs social-publishing features.

4. Legal Basis

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the social-publishing service you requested, and on your explicit consent when you click “Authorize” or “Reconnect” in the AstroVlogs admin panel. You can withdraw this consent at any time by disconnecting your Meta accounts in the admin panel or by emailing us at the address below.

5. Storage and Security

All Meta access tokens and account identifiers are stored in our secure database, hosted by Lovable Cloud / Supabase. Access is restricted to authenticated AstroVlogs administrators. Tokens are refreshed periodically and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections whenever they are used. We do not store Meta passwords or credentials other than the OAuth tokens described above.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep Meta connection data only as long as the integration is active. If you disconnect your Meta accounts from AstroVlogs, or if you request deletion, we remove the associated tokens, page IDs, and Instagram Business account IDs from our database within 30 days. Publication logs may be retained for up to 90 days for diagnostic purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

To request deletion of your Meta-related data, you can:

  • Use the “Disconnect” / “Revoke authorization” option in the AstroVlogs admin panel under Admin → Meta.
  • Email us at astrovlogson@gmail.com with the subject line “Meta Data Deletion Request”. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days.
  • Revoke AstroVlogs permissions directly in your Facebook account under Settings → Apps and Websites.

7. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your Meta data with third parties. Data is transmitted only to Meta’s APIs (Facebook Graph API and Instagram Graph API) for the publishing actions described above.

8. Children’s Privacy

AstroVlogs is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with Meta account access without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete the relevant data.

9. International Transfers

Meta data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union, through our hosting and Meta services. We rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers as required by applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at astrovlogs.com/privacy. Continued use of the Meta integration after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
